The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re supporting youth sports and physical education of children

In the course of consideration of the bill (Reg. No. 2067), Committee members noted that since enactment of the Law “On amendments and recognizing several legislative acts of Ukraine as invalid” on January 1, this year, the problems of physical culture and sports have significantly increased.

In connection with this, said the Committee Chair Artur Palatnyi, Committee members elaborated the respective bill with a view to prevent negative consequences, particularly, closure of youth sports schools and reduction of the number of pupils.

A.Palatnyi stressed that adoption of the bill will promote proper functioning of youth sports schools in Ukraine and will help increase the quality of education of children in educational institutions.
